The project path

Clarity at every step.

Three or four steps overall. The investigation phase is included only when the property needs it.

01

Property review

Start with your address and who the home is for. Onsite is recommended; Zoom is available. We review placement, access, utilities and major site questions, then follow up with a written recommendation.

02

Investigations, if needed

Some properties need a septic inspection, survey, wetland delineation or other site work before the next design decision. We define the required investigation and fee before it is authorized.

03

Plans and engineering

Develop the floor plan, architectural and structural documents, and the applicable site, septic and permit scope. Preconstruction can be one phase or two, depending on what the property needs.

04

Construction agreement

Review the defined construction scope, price, responsibilities and terms before entering the build agreement. Construction is coordinated with the required approvals, site work, utilities and inspections.

Before the next commitment

The recommendation comes first.

After the review, we explain what the property needs and what it will take to move forward.

01

A useful follow-up

A written recommendation connects the intended use, placement, access and site questions to a practical next step.

02

A defined scope

Septic, survey or wetland work is scoped for the specific property. Investigations are not a universal bundle.

03

Plans with direction

Move into plans and engineering once the required site questions are resolved. Fees and responsibilities are set out before authorization.
